Why Ubuntu Summer Arts?

Whether your child is a "singer" or someone who just "loves to sing," Ubuntu Summer Arts will nurture the development of your child's inner voice as well as their performance voice.  Applying an Expressive Arts Approach to Arts Education, Excellence, and Appreciation, Karma Cloud(SoWisdom Director) and Resident Artist, Imani Gonzalez (International Jazz Vocalist, Kennedy Center Teaching Artist and Director of Global Voices), approach singing as a process of Personal Enjoyment, Creative Self Discovery, Self Mastery and Community Building.   Ubuntu Summer Arts is a Journey through song. Campers travel back & forth across the globe to discover our Creative Ubuntu Spirit & Global Voice.  From African chants to Work Songs to Spirituals to Sacred Songs to Freedom Songs to Love Songs and Lullabies they learn music from cultures around the world & perform them as part of the VOICES of WISDOM CHOIR! Additionally, students are encouraged to catch, craft, and create their own songs, dances and visual art to reflect the journey. This Summer help your child feel the rhythms of the world right inside themselves.  Let them find their voice and sing their heart out!

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!JUST A LOVE OF SONG!
