About

Lynn Chigounis is a licensed Davis® Program facilitator, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and history, as well as Teachers Certifications in Social Studies K-12 and Elementary Education. She had been an elementary and middle school teacher for 16 years, and also served as a Support Teacher— working one-on-one and in small groups with children struggling to learn.

For the last 15 years she has been helping children and adults with dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD overcome reading, writing, spelling, and focusing issues with the unique tools and techniques of the Davis Method.

She would like to share with you her “new perspective” in learning that honors the creativity, imagination, visualization, and kinesthetic mind strengths of the visual-spatial learner.  Her motto is: Teach me the way I learn. Lynn believes the issue with most struggling learners is a teaching problem, not a learning problem.

She teaches individuals how to focus attention, control energy levels, and feel calm inside to get ready for learning, or any task. Then, she uses clay and specialized, hands-on techniques to unravel the “root” cause of the learning challenge. Unlocking the “gift” of dyslexia and ADD is central to her approach.
